Summertime Saga

Summertime Saga All Locations Guide: Complete Map & Areas

How the Map System Works

Summerville is divided into districts. You select a district on the town map and then pick a specific location within it. Some sub-locations only appear once you are already inside a district rather than being selectable directly.

Four things to understand before exploring:

Not every location appears from day one. Some areas unlock after specific conversations or story flags. If a location you have read about is not on your map, story progress is almost always the reason.

Time of day changes everything. Many locations have morning, afternoon, evening, and night states with different characters and different content at each. A location that looks empty at noon can be active at night.

Some locations are only reached through other locations. The forest is accessed through the park. The school roof is accessed from inside the school. Fast travelling to the district is not enough.

Re-entering a location can trigger events. Some events fire on arrival rather than during a visit. Leaving and coming back after completing a condition elsewhere sometimes unlocks content that was not available before.

Summertime Saga All Locations

Home and Surrounding Area

MC’s House

Available from day one at all hours. The most important sub-areas are:

Sub-AreaWhat It Does
BedroomSleep to advance time, access computer, save the game
BathroomTime-specific events tied to Jenny and Debbie routes
KitchenDebbie interactions, early household route events
Living roomShared household events, TV scenes with Debbie
BasementLocked initially — opens through specific route progress
Home computerIncome generation minigame, Pink Channel mechanic for Jenny route

The basement and computer are the two most commonly missed. The basement looks inaccessible for most of early game and players stop checking. The computer has different available content in the evening versus daytime.

Debbie’s Room

Accessible inside the main house. Worth treating as its own location because the content changes significantly as her route progresses. Evening visits produce different interactions than morning visits. Players who stop checking after early game miss a large portion of what this area offers.

Diane’s House and Garden

Located next door. The garden is Diane’s starting point — she is there during daytime. The interior unlocks after a few conversations. Once the garden mechanic begins through her route, this becomes one of the most frequently visited locations in the mid-game.

School District

High School — Main Building

Only open during school hours on weekdays. Closed in the afternoon, on weekends, and at night. Every school-based character route depends on consistent weekday morning attendance.

Sub-AreaPurpose
ClassroomIntelligence stat building, French lessons for Miss Bissette route
School libraryStudy mechanic, different from the public library
Gym and locker roomStrength-related content, Roxxy route scenes, Becca locker room scene
HallwaysRoxxy, Becca, Missy, Mia — most school character meetings happen here
CafeteriaSocial interactions, some NPC dialogue
Principal’s officeStory-specific access, not freely available
School roofReachable during specific story beats, easy to miss

The locker room is the most commonly missed sub-area. It requires a specific Charisma level and is only active during Roxxy’s route at certain points. Players below the stat threshold walk past without the scene triggering.

The school roof has interactions that are not flagged anywhere obvious. Check it when the game gives access to the upper floor.

School Grounds and Parking Lot

The outdoor area around the school has interactions that do not happen inside the building. A few Roxxy route moments play out here. Players who fast travel straight to the entrance miss these consistently.

Town Centre

Shopping Mall

Open during daytime hours. Closed in the evening.

Sub-AreaWhat It Is For
Clothing storeOutfits that affect certain interactions
Grocery and convenience storeRoute-specific item purchases
Food courtNPC interactions, some character route scenes
Gift shopGifts used in relationship routes including flowers for Debbie

The mall requires revisiting at different times. Some route-specific scenes here only appear at particular points in a character’s storyline. If a purchase or scene is needed for a route, check whether the mall is open at the time you are visiting.

Downtown Street

The connecting area between major districts. Several minor characters appear here at specific times. A few side interactions only trigger by walking through rather than fast travelling directly to a destination. The street at night has a small set of NPC appearances that most players never see because they skip straight to morning.

Church

Located in the town area. Becomes relevant for Mia’s route through the Sister Angelica subplot. Limited interactivity outside that context. One of the most overlooked locations on early playthroughs because it looks like background scenery until a route needs it.

Residential Areas

Erik’s House

Accessible early in the game. Used for Erik’s route across multiple visits. Some events happen in his room, others in shared household areas.

Morning and afternoon visits produce different content. Evening visits open up once his route has reached later stages. Mrs Johnson begins appearing here as Erik’s route progresses, which is how her own route eventually opens.

Roxxy’s House

Unlocks after initial school interactions. The interior and the garage are separate areas.

The garage is specifically evening-only content tied to Roxxy’s route. Players who visit during the day find nothing there and assume there is no content. Come back in the evening once her route has reached the relevant point.

Tina and Becca’s House

Unlocks through story progress. Nothing connected to Becca appears here until both Roxxy’s route and Tina’s route have advanced far enough. Going before those prerequisites are met shows nothing useful.

Mia’s House

Accessible through school interactions once Mia’s route starts. Helen and Harold appear here during home visit scenes. Afternoon and evening visits produce different content. Most of the important scenes in Mia’s route happen during afternoon and evening home visits rather than morning.

Outdoor and Nature Areas

Park

Accessible from the town map at most hours. The park serves two purposes. It has its own character interactions and NPC scenes. It is also the entry point to the forest. Players who search for the forest as a direct map destination cannot find it because it does not appear that way — the path into the forest is accessed from within the park.

Evening park content is different from daytime. A few characters appear here specifically in the evening that are not present during the day.

Forest

Accessed through the park. The forest is progress-locked. Arriving too early produces almost nothing. Once relevant story flags are set, it opens up significantly.

Night-specific events fire in the forest that are completely absent during daytime. The graveyard Easter egg scene is night only. Players who visit exclusively during the day and find nothing there often give up on this location without knowing its night content exists.

The forest also has hidden interaction points — objects and areas that look like background but have events attached. Explore thoroughly rather than clicking only obvious foreground elements.

Beach

One of the most content-rich outdoor locations. Has three distinct states.

TimeWhat Is Available
MorningDaytime NPCs, general social area
AfternoonDifferent characters, some route-specific scenes
EveningRoute-specific content — Roxxy beach scene, other events

The Roxxy beach scene that opens Becca’s route is evening and weekend afternoon only. Players visiting on weekday mornings never find it and assume the scene does not exist. Check weekend afternoons and evenings specifically.

Fishing Pier

Connected to the beach district. The fishing mechanic here generates income in the early game. Also a setting for some quieter character interactions tied to specific routes. Visited rarely by players focused on school and household routes, which means its income potential goes unused.

Farm

One of the most important progression locations outside the main town. Diane’s entire route plays out here across many in-game days. The farm has different content available at different times.

TimeAvailable Content
MorningGarden tasks, pest control, planting
AfternoonStrength-gated farm work, equipment tasks
EveningLate-stage farm scenes, barn content

Strength gates significant portions of this location. Players who visit but cannot access farm tasks need to train at the gym before returning. The farm delivery system in Diane’s late stage connects this location to the school and Tony’s Pizza.

Service and Public Locations

Gym

Separate from the school gym. Open during daytime. The workout mechanic here raises Strength, which gates content across Diane, Jenny, Roxxy, Coach Bridget, and Mrs Johnson routes. Several characters appear here at specific times and a few route scenes play out during gym visits. This location is worth visiting every day in the early game rather than treating as optional.

Public Library

Separate from the school library. Open during daytime. Raises Intelligence through the study mechanic. The library subscription is required early and is needed for both Miss Bissette’s route and a specific item in Mrs Johnson’s route. Getting the subscription in the first week removes a commonly missed prerequisite.

Hospital

Accessible from the town map. Becomes relevant for specific story sequences. The interior includes a reception area and a back office that unlocks during route progression. The hospital job is also available here for income in the early game.

Police Station

Appears on the map after a specific early story event. Limited general interactivity. Becomes a setting for scenes connected to Harold and the broader mafia subplot. The police station job is available here for income.

Tony’s Pizza

Available early as an income source through the pizza delivery job. Also a setting for NPC interactions and appears as a destination in Diane’s farm delivery system in late game.

Tattoo Parlour (Sugartats)

Appears on the map only after Eve’s route reaches a certain point through school interactions. Grace runs the parlour and is present there during most hours. Evening visits are when most of Eve’s route-specific content fires here. Visiting during the day usually shows nothing relevant to her route.

Nightclub

Evening and night only. Closed entirely during daytime. Characters who are not available elsewhere during the day sometimes appear here in the evening. One of the most commonly ignored locations because players who only visit in the morning or afternoon never see it open.

Progress-Locked Locations

These areas do not appear on the map or do not produce relevant content until specific story flags have been set.

LocationWhat Unlocks It
ForestEarly park interactions advance to a certain point
Basement at homeSpecific route progress required
Police station interiorA specific early story event must happen first
Sugartats / tattoo parlourEve’s school route reaches an invitation point
Roxxy’s garageRoxxy’s route reaches the garage stage
Tina and Becca’s house contentBoth Roxxy and Tina routes must be active and progressing
Mia’s houseMia’s school route starts after Ms. Bissette tutoring is initiated
Farm interiorDiane’s route progresses past the garden introduction

If a location is missing from your map or shows nothing relevant, check whether the unlocking route has been started and progressed far enough before assuming something is broken.

Easily Missed Interactions

These are the locations and triggers that most players walk past without knowing they exist.

Park bench interactions. Some characters have bench-specific dialogue that does not trigger by clicking on the character directly. The bench itself is the trigger. Players who click on the character standing nearby miss this content entirely.

School roof. Reachable from inside the school during specific story beats. Has interactions that are not flagged anywhere in the game. Check the upper floor access when it becomes available.

Downtown street at night. A small set of NPC appearances and interactions exist here at night that most players never see because they skip straight from evening activities to sleeping.

Home computer in the evening. Has different available content versus daytime. Players who only check the computer in the morning miss the evening-specific options.

Beach cabin area. A sub-location of the beach that becomes active during a specific route. Easy to overlook if you only visit the main beach area.

Fishing pier at dawn. One specific character interaction only appears at the earliest available morning time slot. Players who use time-skip past this window miss it.

Farm sub-areas. The barn, equipment shed, and garden are separate interactive areas within the farm. Players who only interact with Diane directly miss triggers attached to specific objects and areas around the farm.

Tips for Using the Map Efficiently

Time-skip from the bedroom rather than wandering. If a location is closed or a character is not present, using the bedroom to advance time is faster than exploring empty areas hoping something changes.

Check sub-areas within locations. The beach, school, mall, and farm all have spots that are easy to miss if you click only the first available option in a district. Explore the full area rather than the entrance point.

Leaving and re-entering can trigger events. Some events fire on arrival rather than during the visit. If a route seems stuck at a location, try leaving and coming back after doing something else for one in-game time block.

The town map does not always show every destination. Some areas appear only as sub-options once you are already inside a district. Get into the habit of exploring each district fully rather than only fast-travelling to named locations.

Build the mental habit of visiting locations at night. Most players skip night entirely by sleeping as soon as evening content is done. Night is an active event window for the forest, beach, street, and several character route stages. Check at least two night locations every few in-game days.

Track which routes need which locations. Use the character-by-location table above when a route stalls and you cannot work out where the next step should happen. Most stuck situations trace back to visiting the right character at the wrong location or the wrong time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Almost always because a story flag for that location has not been set yet. The forest requires park interaction progress. Sugartats requires Eve’s school route to reach an invitation. Tina and Becca’s house content requires both Roxxy and Tina routes to be active. Check the progress-locked table above for the specific unlock condition.

Either the wrong time of day or a route prerequisite has not been met. Try the same location at a different time block before assuming nothing is there. Evening and night content exist at several locations that look empty during the day.

It does not appear as a direct map destination. Go to the park first, then look for the forest path within the park. This confuses most new players who search the main map and cannot find it.

They serve different purposes. The school library is accessed through the school building during school hours and is tied to school-based route content. The public library is a separate town location that raises Intelligence and is the setting for a specific character route. You need both a library card from the public library and regular school attendance — they are not interchangeable.

The garage is an evening-only area that only becomes active when Roxxy’s route has reached a specific stage. Visiting during the day or before the route is far enough along shows nothing. Return in the evening once her route has progressed past the garage unlock point.

Most content stays accessible throughout the game. The only practical risk is missing narrow time-window events — specific character interactions that appear only at dawn, or night events that are skipped by sleeping through consistently. Saving regularly at key points prevents these from being permanently lost.

Conclusion

Most location confusion in Summertime Saga comes from two habits. Visiting at the same time every day and treating locations as either done or empty. Every major location in the game has content across multiple time blocks and continues accumulating new events as routes progress.

Use the time access table to check whether a location is open at the time you are visiting. Use the character-by-location table to find where a specific character should be. Check the progress-locked list when a location is missing from the map entirely. And get into the habit of visiting night-active locations regularly rather than sleeping through that time block every day.
